象山县广播电视台于1996年11月20日正式成立，于2003年搬入位于象山港路和天安路交叉口的新广电大楼，大楼占地面积18402平方米，是象山县标志性建筑。象山县广播电视台是县府直属事业单位，隶属于县委宣传部，主管全县广播电视宣传工作，制定全县广播电视事业和技术发展规划，建设和维护全县广播电视设备，下设8个职能科室：办公室、总编办、新闻中心、节目中心、产业中心、技术科、网络传输中心和乡镇广电管理总站。
