The station is owned by the CBS Television Stations subsidiary of ViacomCBS, as part of a duopoly with CBS owned-and-operated station and West Coast flagship KCBS-TV (channel 2). The two stations share studios at the CBS Studio Center on Radford Avenue in the Studio City section of Los Angeles; KCAL-TV's transmitter is located atop Mount Wilson. There is no separate website for KCAL-TV; instead, it is integrated with that of sister station KCBS-TV.
