夏河县电视台经国家新闻出版广电总局批复同意，于 2018 年 1 月 1 日正式开播，2019 年 3 月 28 日随相关机构及媒体资源整合并入夏河县融媒体中心，作为融媒体中心重要组成部分，始终贯彻新闻宣传工作规章和方针政策，承担全县新闻报道、内外宣传及电视节目制作播出等职责，开设藏汉双语相关内容策划与审核环节，通过 “一次采集、多元化生成、全媒体发布” 的传播格局，围绕县委、县政府中心工作传递主流声音，同时探索 “媒体 +” 服务模式，推动媒体与党务、政务、民生等服务深度融合，成为讲述夏河好故事、传递夏河好声音、树立夏河好形象的重要舆论阵地。
