1951年，鱼台县设立广播收音站。1976年成立广播事业局。1986年11月1日，鱼台电视差转台开播。1987年广播事业局更名为广播电视局。1988年12月30日，鱼台人民广播电台开播，调频96.3兆赫，发射功率50瓦，90年代末停播。2007年开办鱼台第二、三套电视频道和民生新闻节目《湖滨视点》。2011年局台合一，成立鱼台广播电视台。2013年7月24日鱼台人民广播电台使用调频88.1兆赫频率恢复播出。2014年6月，鱼台电视台、鱼台人民广播电台统一使用“鱼台广播电视台”称号。
