梅州电视台创办于1988年，2001年8月与梅州市有线广播电视台合并，呼号梅州市电视台。2006年与梅州人民广播电台合并，合称梅州市广播电视台。梅州市广播电视台大楼坐落于梅州市江北文化公园广场，建于2001年，是梅州市的广电中心。前为梅州有线电视台，梅州电视台。原台址位于江南署前路1号（现梅州市公路局）。
