长治电视台是指长治地区的广播电视台。2003年，我们根据国家广播电视体制改革精神，按照市委市政府关于对广播电视体制改革的指导思想和工作要求，在市委宣传部的直接领导下，在多方研究考察的基础上，结合我市实际，进行了广播电视体制改革，将电台、电视台、有线台、声屏报社四家媒体单位及播出机构进行合并重组，成立了广播电视总台，建立了“局台合一”的管理体制，实行企业化管理。
