黄山电视台位于以源远流长的徽文化享誉中外的国家历史文化名城――屯溪，前身为徽州电视台，筹建于1983年12月6日，1984年10月1日正式开播，是全国第一家被原国家广电部批准成立的地区级电视台，1988年4月1日更名为黄山电视台。建台以来，在市委、市政府的重视支持下，在市委宣传部、市广电局的直接领导下，经过几代黄山电视人的不断努力，黄山电视台现已成为黄山市重要的新闻媒体之一，为推动黄山市的三个文明建设、丰富活跃人民群众文化生活，作出了积极努力和贡献。
