PTV World is a 24-hour Pakistani English news channel[1] owned by Pakistan Television Corporation. PTV World was the new name given to the first ever satellite TV Channel of Pakistan "PTV-2" in 1998. PTV World came as a breathe of fresh air as the viewers got an additional choice on the terrestrial beam and for the over-seas community PTV World was available via satellite. PTV World went off air in 2007 and replaced by PTV News. PTV World was re-inaugurated on 29 January 2013 by former president Asif Ali Zardari..[2] as an English langauge TV Channel.
